MTE - Monthly News Update（August）

Since SIMM exhibition booth booking starts in August, SIMM has received numerous orders. Especially in Hall 1, 50% of the show space is sold so far. Manufacturing enterprise responded actively to the core themes of SIMM 2018 ---- "Auto Parts Manufacturing" and "3C Products & Parts Processing" and showed strong willingness to participate in.

During 2018.3.29-4.1, series of professional on-site conferences will also be held. Topics focus on Automobile, 3C, Sheet Metal, Industrial Robotics & Automation, Precision Parts & Components, Measurement and 3D Printing.

The Speech Maker Reservation is now open to enterprises. The conference agenda will be set according to the enrollment situation. Seats are limited and please make the reservation in advance.

News of SIMM

1.  In August, SIMM visited ZTE to learn it's supply chain system and collect manufacturing demands. During the conversation, ZTE stated their opinions on the changes in 5G Era, such as the terminal, base station, and bearer network. ZTE has done plenty of preparation for 5G Era, includes personnel training and technical upgrades, at the same time, they also hope to have more opportunities to communicate with the professions in the industry.

   

2. In August, SIMM visited the legendary enterprise in machine tool industry ----Shenzhen Create Century Co., LTD. The general manager, Mr. Xia Jun, believes that the use of glass and ceramic materials will not weaken the demand of the 3C market for drilling and tapping machines. The production of Drilling Center breakthrough 2000/month, 3C mobile phone parts processing enterprises are still the core customers. At the same time, the glass-ceramics processing equipment of Create Century is also ready to enter the market and open to order. It’s laser cutting machine will also independently exhibited at SIMM2018 in Hall 2.

3. Greatoo Intelligent Equipment Inc., a notable equipment manufacturer of tyre mould, also owns the world's largest tire mould base. As the development of Greatoo, it has formed four main industrial branches ---- tire mould, tire vulcanization machine, industrial robotics and precision machine tool. At SIMM2018, the branches of the machine tool and automation of Greatoo will present the welding line solution of automobile doors.

   

4. In August, SIMM visited Topedm, which is Taiwan's first electric discharge machining maker. Topedm integrated its mainland business and move the electric discharge machining business to Kunshan office. Guangdong office will be dedicated to CNC machine tools development. Currently, the machine production of Guangdong office has reached to 600 /month, which also starts to produce glass processing equipment. It is reported that their new liquid metal business has achieved significant success in 3C, medical equipment, and sports apparatus.

5. The largest CNC machine tool manufacturer with the whole industry chain in south China--- Guangdong Harvest Star Technology Co., Ltd is acquired by Wuxi Huadong Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. (the world's second-largest port equipment manufacturer) in 2017. Harvest Star develops its own R&D robot and intelligent manufacturing production line, which produces 200 sets per year, currently only for domestic demands. Automation line, glass, ceramics, and graphite processing machine will be the presenting features at SIMM2018.

6. SIMM has been invited to participate in the PRD Machinery Industry Seminar. Industry and Information Technology Commission of Guangzhou Municipality, Foshan General Chamber or Commerce, Guangzhou Robotics Alliance, Panyu Enterprises Chamber of Commerce, Dongguan Machinery Alliance, GuangZhou NanSha District Enterprise Confederation, Nansha Dongchong Chamber of Commerce and other relevant regional representatives have also attended the meeting. The Five-Axis Machining Technology & Application has been lively discussed. 

   

7.  In August, SIMM traveled to Zhaoqing in Guangdong province and visited their leading enterprises and associations. Electronic components manufacturing, automobile die-casting parts manufacturing are the advantage industries of Zhaoqing. With the development of the new energy automobile Xiaopeng Motors, the new energy industry becomes another major industry focus. In September, SIMM also visited Dongguan hardware and electronic information industry and communicated with industry representatives.
