Huawei said on Feb. 20th that the coronavirus epidemic would not affect the supply of its 5G telecommunications equipment after the factory resumed production.
Yang Chaobin, president of Huawei's 5G product line, said that 5G telecommunications equipment is currently produced in Huawei's own factories.
"It has been a while since the outbreak of COVID-19, and virtually all Huawei factories have resumed production," he said.
"Major suppliers have also resumed production and therefore have no impact on our customers' supply."
Apple canceled its quarterly sales target set a few weeks ago on Feb. 17th (Monday), saying that production at its Chinese factories is slower than expected. Hyundai Motor Co. and Nissan Motor Co. also had to suspend some production due to component shortages.
